Short Bio
Dr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma has received Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India in 2017. He received the B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University Lucknow, India, in 2009, and the M. Tech. degree from Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India, in 2013. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the College of Information and Communication Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korea during April 2017-August 2018. He received the prestigious "Brain Korea 21 Plus (BK21+)" postdoctoral research fellowship from National Research Foundation, Govt. of Korea for the period of September 2017-August 2018. He has further joined SKKU as a fully funded Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher during June 2019-July 2019. His research interests include cooperative networks, UAV Networks, satellite networks, and intelligent reflecting surfaces-enabled wireless networks, ambient backscatter communications. He is a reviewer for various IEEE journals and serves as technical program committee member for top IEEE conferences. He is a member of IEEE.
