Gesture recognition technology is the turning point in the world of VR/AR development. It can allow seamless non-touchable control of computerized devices to create a highly interactive, yet fully immersive and flexible hybrid reality. The inclusion of this technology in multiple applications across various sectors is further revolutionizing human-computer communication. Hand gestures are one of the mediums used in sign language. Gestures allow humans to interact with their surroundings and establish communication. Hand gesture recognization is used in a computer-aided application in humancomputer interaction. This play a vital role in gaming, 3-D device control, and virtual reality. There are many kinds of interfaces for human-computer interaction (HCI). The most commonly used interfaces are hand-manipulated. This research aims to describe the process of detecting different predefined hand gestures (left, right, up, and down) using machine learning techniques. This project focuses on development of a GR based control for controlling smart electronic equipments.
