In the technological era with the augmentation for the requisite of state-of-art facility, cost effective material design for sustainable application has become the dominant area of research. Selection of suitable processing route, tailoring the microstructure is essential to achieve the required properties for various applications. Understanding the basis for material selection and fabrication strategy will disclose many avenues for research in materials engineering. Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, National Institute of Technology are going to organize the 5^th edition of International Conference on Processing & Characterization of Materials (ICPCM 2023) to provide a platform for scientific collaboration. Researchers from academia, laboratories, and Industry personnel across the globe will deliver talks on diverse advancement in materials processing and characterization.
